Biography
Peter Strauss is an American actor. Born Peter Lawrence Strauss on 20 February 1947 in Croton-on-Hudson, New York, he trained at Northwestern University and began his career in theatre, appearing in productions including at the Croton Shakespeare Festival.
He is known for leading roles in 1970s and 1980s television miniseries such as Rich Man, Poor Man and Masada. Strauss won a Primetime Emmy Award for his performance in the 1979 television film The Jericho Mile and received five Golden Globe nominations. His film credits include Soldier Blue (1970), The Secret of NIMH (1982), in which he voiced Justin, and Nick of Time (1995). He has also appeared in later television series including Grey's Anatomy and Hacks.
