Biography
Peter Williams (1915–2003) was an American-born British actor who appeared in film, theatre and television. He served as a major in the British Army.
Williams is best known for playing private detective Don Carter in the British crime series Shadow Squad (1957–1959). His film roles include Captain Reeves in The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957), Constable Farrow in Footsteps in the Fog (1955), and uncredited parts in The Ladykillers (1955) and The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956).
He was married to Helen 'Toto' Irving and had two children. Williams was active from 1948 to 1980.
