Biography
Phil Charles is a British screenwriter and scriptwriting lecturer. He has written episodes for television series including Shameless (2010–2011), Doctors (2001–2007) and Murphy's Law (2003). His film credits include the anthology 50 Kisses (2014) and The Impact (2022).
A senior lecturer in scriptwriting at Sheffield Hallam University, Charles is a British Screenwriters’ Award winner represented by The Agency. Cardiff-born, he lives in Manchester and previously worked as an advertising copywriter. He has a particular interest in supporting writers from disadvantaged backgrounds.
