Biography
Phil Mealey is a British actor and writer from Stockport. He began in radio comedy sketches in the 1990s before moving into television.
With Craig Cash he co-wrote the BBC sitcom Early Doors (2003–2004), in which he also appeared as Duffy. The pair later co-wrote the comedy-drama Sunshine (2008), with Mealey playing Andy. He contributed to five episodes of The Royle Family (2006–2012), co-writing with Caroline Aherne and Craig Cash, and appeared as Soloman in the 2006 special The Queen of Sheba. That episode won the BAFTA Television Award for Best Situation Comedy in 2007.
Mealey has also worked as a producer on series including The Café (2011) and has taken acting roles in Emmerdale and Coronation Street.
