Biography
Philip D'Antoni (19 February 1929 – 15 April 2018) was an American film and television producer. He produced the crime thrillers Bullitt (1968) and The French Connection (1971), the latter winning the Academy Award for Best Picture. He also produced and directed The Seven-Ups (1973).
D'Antoni attended Evander Childs High School in the Bronx and Fordham University, graduating with a degree in business administration. He served in the United States Army from 1946 to 1948. He began his career producing television specials including Elizabeth Taylor in London (1963) and Sophia Loren in Rome (1964).
After his feature films, D'Antoni focused on television, producing series and films such as Movin' On (1974–1976) under a contract with NBC.
