Biography
Philip Ridley is an English writer, playwright, filmmaker and artist. He was born in the East End of London in 1967 and studied painting at St Martin's School of Art.
He wrote the screenplay for the film The Krays (1990). Ridley has also written and directed the feature films The Reflecting Skin (1990), The Passion of Darkly Noon (1995) and Heartless (2009). His stage plays include The Pitchfork Disney (1991) and The Fastest Clock in the Universe (1992). He has published novels for adults and children, including Krindlekrax (1991), which won the Smarties Prize.
