Biography
Philip Wood was an American actor. Born in Brookline, Massachusetts, he began his career on the stage and appeared in numerous Broadway productions, including Room Service (1937) as Simon Jenkins and The Primrose Path (1939).
Wood made two feature films. He played Simon Jenkins in the 1938 screen adaptation of Room Service and Simon Stimson in the 1940 film version of Our Town. He died of a heart attack in Hollywood, California, on 3 March 1940, a few months before the release of the latter.
