Biography
Philip Wright is an English actor. He played DC Lillie in the ITV crime drama series Prime Suspect (1991).
His other television credits include DI Steve Thompson in the BBC soap opera EastEnders (2019–2021), DI Samuel Royal in Line of Duty (2012), Maggs in Good Omens (2019), Mr McGregor in Call the Midwife (2012), and John Bingley in Endeavour (2013). Film roles include Journalist 2 in The Wings of the Dove (1997) and Jeremy Ascott in Rogue Agent (2022). He appeared as a principal dancer in the film Fame (1980). Wright lives in South East London with his wife and children; his son is the British cyclist Fred Wright.
