Biography
Philip Zhao is an American actor of Chinese descent, also credited as Zhao Jia-zheng or Jiazheng Zhao. Born on 20 September 2004 in Rockville, Maryland, he made his screen debut as Sho in Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One (2018).
He was cast in the role through an open worldwide talent search and had no previous acting experience. Zhao received a nomination for Best Performance in a Feature Film – Leading Young Actor at the 40th Annual Young Artist Awards in 2019. He is also credited in the short film Kung-Fu Cops, which was in post-production as of recent records.
