Biography
Pierre Lindstedt is a Swedish actor born on 15 August 1943 in Dalarö. The son of actor Carl-Gustaf Lindstedt, he has no formal acting training.
He began appearing in films in the late 1960s and gained notice for his role as Arvid in Jan Troell's The Emigrants (1971) and its sequel The New Land (1972). Other film credits include Adalen 31 (1969), Emil and the Piglet (1973), The Dream House (1993) and Everlasting Moments (2008). He has also worked in theatre, including at Riksteatern and Malmö stadsteater, and in television series such as Mysteriet på Greveholm (1996).
Lindstedt received the Kurt Linder stipend in 1971 and a Filmpublicisterna stipend in 1972 for his work in the Emigrant films, and the Svenska Dagbladets Poppepris in 1994.
