Biography
Pierre Niney is a French actor. Born on 13 March 1989 in Boulogne-Billancourt, Hauts-de-Seine, he trained at the Cours Florent and the Conservatoire national supérieur d’art dramatique. In 2010, at the age of 21, he became the youngest male member of the Comédie-Française, where he remained until 2015.
Niney’s film breakthrough came with the title role in Yves Saint Laurent (2014), for which he won the César Award for Best Actor. He has appeared in It Boy (2013), Frantz (2016), Black Box (2021) and The Count of Monte Cristo (2024), in which he played Edmond Dantès. His performance in the latter earned a further César nomination for Best Actor. He co-created and starred in the Netflix series Fiasco (2024).
