Biography
Pierre Repp, born Pierre Alphonse Léon Frédéric Bouclet, was a French actor and humorist. He was born on 5 November 1909 in Saint-Pol-sur-Ternoise, Pas-de-Calais, and died on 1 November 1986 in Plessis-Trévise, Val-de-Marne.
Repp was known for his comic routines based on simulated stuttering. He performed extensively in Paris cabarets, music-hall and on tour, and appeared in supporting roles in around forty films. His credits include the English teacher in François Truffaut's The 400 Blows (1959), Thibaut in Donkey Skin (1970), the marquis de Griffe in Cartouche (1962), and roles in The Gendarme and the Creatures from Outer Space (1979) and The Gendarme and the Gendarmettes (1982).
