Biography
Pino Amenta is an Australian television director and producer. He began his career in the mid-1970s, directing episodes of series such as The Sullivans (1976) and Chopper Squad (1978).
Amenta has directed episodes of numerous Australian and international productions, including Farscape (1999), BeastMaster (1999), The Lost World (1999), Mortified (2006), Wentworth (2013) and The Doctor Blake Mysteries (2013). He co-created the sitcom All Together Now (1991–93), on which he directed 92 episodes, and later served as series producer on Wentworth, winning an AACTA Award for Best Television Drama. His feature film credits include Boulevard of Broken Dreams (1988), Heaven Tonight (1990) and What the Moon Saw (1990). He is the father of actress Jade Amenta.
