Biography
Pitobash Tripathy, also credited as Pitobash, is an Indian film actor. He was born in 1984 in Nayagarh, Odisha, and trained at the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune after completing a B.Tech degree in Kolkata. He received the National Bal Shree Award for creative performance at the age of 12 and worked in theatre in Kolkata before entering films.
He made his feature debut in 2009 and has appeared in supporting roles in Hindi cinema, including I Am Kalam (2010), Shor in the City (2011) — for which he received a Screen Award for Best Comedian — Shanghai (2012), Go Goa Gone (2013), Million Dollar Arm (2014), Mom (2017) and Begum Jaan (2017). His international credits include the Hollywood film Million Dollar Arm and the 2024 action thriller Monkey Man, in which he played Alphonso. He has also acted in Odia and Kannada films.
