Biography
Polly Draper is an American actress, writer, producer and director. She was born on 15 June 1955 in Gary, Indiana, and trained at Yale University, where she earned a BA and an MFA from the Yale School of Drama.
She gained recognition for her role as Ellyn Warren in the ABC drama series Thirtysomething (1987–91). Draper created, wrote and directed the Nickelodeon series The Naked Brothers Band (2007–09) and its 2005 feature film; the series earned her a Writers Guild of America Award. Her other screen credits include The Tic Code (1998), Side Effects (2013) as Eileen Spicer, Obvious Child (2014), Demolition (2016), Shiva Baby (2021) and Stella's Last Weekend (2018), which she also wrote and directed.
