Biography
Qasim Akhtar is an English actor. He was born on 8 June 1991 in Burnage, Manchester, and trained at the Manchester School of Acting.
Akhtar made his screen debut in the 2006 film Mischief Night. He gained prominence playing Chesney Karib in the Channel 4 series Shameless from 2007 to 2013. He later portrayed Zeedan Nazir in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street from 2014 to 2018 and again from 2021 to 2023.
