Biography
Quentin Dean was an American actress. Born Corinne Ida Margolin on 27 July 1944 in Los Angeles County, California, she came from a family of vaudeville and circus performers. She appeared in local theatre in Massachusetts before moving to Hollywood in 1963.
Dean made her screen debut in the late 1960s and is best known for her role as the 16-year-old Delores Purdy in Norman Jewison's In the Heat of the Night (1967), for which she received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She also appeared as Jennie in Will Penny (1967) and in films including Stay Away, Joe (1968) and The Young Runaways (1968), as well as several television series such as The Big Valley, The Virginian and The Mod Squad. Her acting career ended in 1969.
Dean died of cancer in Los Angeles on 8 May 2003, aged 58.
