Biography
Rafael Justo Valverde was a Brazilian film editor. He worked on numerous productions from the late 1940s until his death, including key titles associated with the Cinema Novo movement.
His credits include Barren Lives (1963), directed by Nelson Pereira dos Santos, and Black God, White Devil (1964), directed by Glauber Rocha. He also edited Rio, 100 Degrees F° (1955).
Valverde was born in 1924 and died in 1986 in Rio de Janeiro.
