Biography
Raine Allen-Miller is a British film director and writer. Her feature directorial debut was the romantic comedy Rye Lane (2023), which she also helped develop. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and received nominations at the British Independent Film Awards, including for Best Director.
Born in Manchester in September 1989, Allen-Miller moved to London at the age of 12. She attended Camberwell Art College and lived in Peckham. Prior to her feature debut she directed the short film Jerk (2018) and worked on commercials and music videos. She was named a Screen International Star of Tomorrow in 2021.
