Rajat Kapoor is an Indian actor, director and writer. Born on 11 February 1961 in Delhi, he trained at the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune after early involvement in theatre in Delhi.

He is known for supporting roles in films including Dil Chahta Hai (2001), Monsoon Wedding (2001), Ankhon Dekhi (2014), Kapoor & Sons (2016) and Drishyam (2015) as Mahesh Deshmukh, a part he reprised in Drishyam 2 (2022). Kapoor has also directed and written several features, among them Ankhon Dekhi.
