Biography
Ralph Bell (1915–1998) was an American actor whose career spanned stage, radio, television and film. Born Ralph Scognamiglio in New York City, he began on Broadway in the late 1930s and 1940s before becoming a regular performer in radio dramas, including multiple episodes of Suspense and later 123 appearances on the CBS Radio Mystery Theater.
On screen he appeared in supporting roles in films such as Edge of the City (1957), Wolfen (1981) and Zelig (1983), in which he played one of the doctors. His television credits include a recurring role as Brandon Spaulding on the soap opera Guiding Light (1983), Judge Jenklaw in an episode of Law & Order (1992), and guest parts in Kate & Allie and The Edge of Night. He was also noted as a voice-over artist and announcer.
