Biography

Ramsey Mostoller was an American costume designer. Born Ruth Marie Zielke in Kansas City, Missouri, she graduated from Westport High School in 1937. She began her career in theatre under the name Ramse Stevens, working on productions including Kiss Me, Kate and A Thurber Carnival, before marrying fellow costume designer Joe Mostoller.

Mostoller worked extensively in television, designing costumes for the soap operas Dark Shadows (1966–1970), Ryan's Hope (1975–1980), The Secret Storm and Another World, as well as children's programmes Sesame Street and The Electric Company. Her film credits include Santa Claus Conquers the Martians (1964) and House of Dark Shadows (1970). She died in New Jersey in 2004.
