Biography
Ray Bradbury was an American writer of fantasy, horror and science fiction. Born Ray Douglas Bradbury in Waukegan, Illinois, on 22 August 1920, he died in Los Angeles on 5 June 2012.
He wrote the episode 'I Sing the Body Electric' for the original series of The Twilight Zone (1959). His best-known works include the novels Fahrenheit 451 (1953) and Something Wicked This Way Comes (1962), and the short-story collections The Martian Chronicles (1950) and The Illustrated Man (1951). He received the National Medal of Arts in 2004 and a Pulitzer Prize Special Citation in 2007.
