Biography
Raymond Chow Man-Wai was a Hong Kong film producer and executive. After working as a journalist and in publicity at Shaw Brothers, he left the studio in 1970 to co-found Golden Harvest.
Golden Harvest quickly became a leading force in Hong Kong cinema through its association with Bruce Lee, whose films including The Big Boss (1971) and Fist of Fury (1972) achieved international success. The company later worked with Jackie Chan on titles such as Police Story (1985) and Armour of God (1986), and served as executive producer on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films (1990–1993). Chow was credited as presenter on Once Upon a Time in China (1991).
He received the OBE and other industry honours. Chow died in Hong Kong on 2 November 2018.
