Biography
Raymond Khoury is a Lebanese screenwriter and novelist. Born in Beirut, he moved to the United States as a teenager to escape the Lebanese Civil War. He studied at INSEAD and worked as an architect and investment banker in London before becoming a screenwriter.
His screenwriting credits include episodes of the BBC series Spooks (2002) and Waking the Dead. He also wrote a screenplay adaptation of Melvyn Bragg’s novel The Maid of Buttermere, which Robert De Niro optioned for production.
Khoury is best known as the author of thriller novels. His debut, The Last Templar (2005), was a New York Times bestseller and has been translated into more than forty languages. Several of his books have been adapted for television or comics.
