Biography
Raymond Lovell (13 April 1900 – 1 October 1953) was a Canadian actor who performed mainly in British films. Born in Montreal, he trained as a physician at Cambridge University before turning to the stage in the 1920s.
Lovell appeared in supporting roles, frequently as somewhat pompous characters. His film credits include Lieutenant Kuhnecke in 49th Parallel (1941), the Prince of Wales in The Man in Grey (1943), Mr Jackson in The Way Ahead (1944) and Lucius Septimus in Caesar and Cleopatra (1945). He worked in film from 1934 until his death in London.
