Biography
Raymond Mearns is a Scottish actor and comedian from Glasgow. He trained at St Andrew’s Secondary School and Glasgow Central College of Commerce, and holds a degree in Business.
Mearns is known for his role as Happy Boab in the sitcom Legit. He has appeared in two films directed by Ken Loach: Ae Fond Kiss... (2004) as Big Roddie and It's a Free World... (2007) as Andy. He provided additional voices for the animated film The Illusionist (2010) and starred as Ned Randall in Next Time Ned (2010).
He made his acting debut alongside his brother Eddie in the 1998 short film Home, which won Best Short Film at the 1999 BAFTA Awards. Mearns has also appeared in Limbo (2020) as Mike and in episodes of Rab C. Nesbitt and Limmy's Show!.
