Biography
Rebecca Lenkiewicz is a British playwright, screenwriter and film director. Born in Plymouth in 1968, she studied film and English at the University of Kent and acting at the Central School of Speech and Drama.
She wrote the play Her Naked Skin (2008), the first original work by a living female playwright to be staged on the Olivier stage of the Royal National Theatre. Her screenwriting credits include the co-written screenplay for Ida (2013) with Paweł Pawlikowski, as well as Disobedience (2017), Colette (2018) and She Said (2022). She directed and co-wrote the screenplay for Hot Milk (2025).
