Biography

Rebecca Thomas is an American film and television director. She wrote and directed the feature film Electrick Children (2012), which premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival.

Thomas directed the episode 'Chapter Seven: The Lost Sister' of the Netflix series Stranger Things (2017). She has also directed all ten episodes of Limetown (2019) and When the Streetlights Go On (2020), and episodes of Archive 81 (2022).

A graduate of Columbia University’s film programme, Thomas’s short film 'Nobody Knows You, Nobody Gives a Damn' premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. Upcoming projects include the feature Wardriver (2026).
