Biography
Reginald Cheyne Berkeley was a British writer of stage plays and screenplays. Born in London in 1890, he trained as a lawyer and served as a Liberal Party politician before turning to writing.
His stage plays include The Lady with the Lamp (1929) and The Man I Killed (1931), the latter adapted for the screen as Broken Lullaby (1932). In Hollywood he wrote screenplays including Cavalcade (1933), The World Moves On (1934) and Carolina (1934). He died in Los Angeles in 1935.
