Biography
Renji Ishibashi, also credited as Renji Ishida, is a Japanese actor born on 9 August 1941 in Shinagawa, Tokyo. He has worked in film and television since the mid-1960s.
Ishibashi is known for roles including the Tramp in Tetsuo: The Iron Man (1989), Mr Shimada in Audition (2000), Renji in Cowboy Bebop: The Movie (2001), and Nakahara in the series Tokyo Vice (2022). He won the best supporting actor award at the 15th Hochi Film Award for his performance in Rōnin-gai (1990). He has appeared in numerous films by directors including Takashi Miike and Takeshi Kitano.
