Biography

Reuben Leder is a writer, producer and director. Born in New York City on 21 January 1950, he is the son of director, writer and producer Paul Leder and the brother of director Mimi Leder. He began working in the film industry on his father's productions, including I Dismember Mama (1972), and co-wrote the screenplay for APE (1976).

Leder wrote for numerous television series, including episodes of The Incredible Hulk (1981), Tales of the Gold Monkey (1982), Magnum, P.I. (1981–1986, on which he also served as producer, story editor and director), Star Trek: The Next Generation (1992, story and teleplay for 'The Perfect Mate', credited as Gary Perconte), JAG (1995), Kung Fu: The Legend Continues (1995–1997) and Walker, Texas Ranger (2000). He wrote and directed the feature film Baltic Storm (2003). He received two Emmy Award nominations for his work on Magnum, P.I..
