Biography
Rex Everhart was an American actor. He was born on 13 June 1920 in Watseka, Illinois, and died on 13 March 2000 in Branford, Connecticut.
Everhart had a long stage career, appearing in numerous Broadway productions from the 1950s onwards. He was nominated for a Tony Award for his featured role in the musical Working (1978) and served as understudy for Benjamin Franklin in 1776, later appearing in the 1997 revival. His film and television work included supporting roles in Superman (1978) as Desk Sergeant, Friday the 13th (1980) as the truck driver Enos, and Family Business (1989) as Ray Garvey. He provided the voice of Maurice in the Disney animated film Beauty and the Beast (1991).
He also appeared in episodes of Law & Order and other television series, and had earlier stage experience with companies including the American Shakespeare Festival.
