Biography
Rex Weiner is a writer and journalist. One of the first writers hired for the television series Miami Vice, he wrote the episode "Glades" (1984).
His screen credits include the characters for The Adventures of Ford Fairlane (1990) and the story and screenplay for Silent Night, Deadly Night III: Better Watch Out! (1989). He co-wrote and served as associate producer on the television film Forgotten Prisoners: The Amnesty Files (1990).
Weiner has worked as a journalist for publications including Vanity Fair, The New Yorker and LA Weekly. He was a founding editor of High Times magazine and co-author of The Woodstock Census (1979). He has also written and directed for the stage.
