Biography
Rhys Auteri is an Australian actor, improviser, musician and writer. He played Gus McConnell in the 2023 horror film Late Night with the Devil, directed by Colin and Cameron Cairnes, which premiered at SXSW before screening at the Sydney and Melbourne film festivals.
Auteri performs regularly with the Impro Melbourne ensemble, The Big Hoo-Haa and Murder Village. He has written for and performed at festivals across Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and New Zealand. He is also a songwriter, performing solo and as part of the duo Baby Drivers. Auteri holds a Bachelor of Performing Arts (Hons) from Monash University and an Advanced Certificate of Professional Screenwriting from RMIT, where he received the 2014 RMIT Award for most outstanding screenwriting student.
