Biography
Ria Pavia is an American actress, writer, director and acting coach. Born on 8 October 1967 in Ohio, she began her career in the 1980s with a gymnastics performance in a tampon commercial that led to further commercial and acting work.
She is credited as Monica in the 1992 horror film Candyman. Other screen roles include Kitty in Married... with Children (1988), Gloria in How I Met Your Mother (2008), Andrea Zucker in ER (1994) and appearances in Freeway (1996), Breast Men (1997) and Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (1993).
Pavia has also worked as a casting associate on films including Twister (credited as Ria Pavia Adler), as a staff writer on the series Ask Harriet and Pauly, and as a stage director. She has served as an acting and dialogue coach on shows such as grown-ish and directed the short film Second Team (2020). She trained at Interlochen Arts Academy, studied with Sanford Meisner and attended UCLA.
