Biography
Riano Tindama was a Kenyan actor born in 1899 in Machakos. A member of the Masai tribe, he was hired locally for the MGM production Trader Horn (1931), which was filmed on location in Kenya and other parts of East Africa.
He appeared uncredited as the Witch Doctor. Tindama and fellow Kenyan actor Mutia Omoolu were later brought to the United States for additional studio reshoots of their scenes.
