Biography
Ric Kidney is an American film producer and former assistant director. He began his career in industrial films and television before moving to Los Angeles in 1980 to work as an assistant director on features including Angel Heart (1987) and Bull Durham (1988). He transitioned into production in the late 1980s.
Kidney has produced or served as executive producer on numerous films, including Legally Blonde (2001), on which he is also credited as unit production manager, Shooter (2007), Four Brothers (2005) and Salt (2010). He has frequently collaborated on action and thriller projects as executive producer or unit production manager.
His wife, Shelly Kidney, has also worked in film production.
