Biography
Ricardo Mestres is an American film producer. After graduating from Harvard University, he began his career at Paramount Pictures as a development executive for Don Simpson. He later worked for Jeffrey Katzenberg for four years, supervising films including Beverly Hills Cop (1984).
In 1984 Mestres joined Walt Disney Productions, where he supervised productions at the Touchstone division. He became president of the newly formed Hollywood Pictures in 1989. His producing credits include Jack (1996), 101 Dalmatians (1996), Flubber (1997), Home Alone 3 (1997, executive producer), Just Visiting (2001) and The Hunted (2003). He has also served as a production manager on several animated features for Illumination Entertainment.
