Biography
Richard Beek is a British film producer at Aardman Animations. He began his career in the late 1990s with unpaid work experience as a runner on films, television and commercials, securing his first paid role on the horror film Grim. He joined Aardman around 2000, initially working in production on Chicken Run (2000).
Beek progressed to production manager and supervising production manager on numerous projects, including the Shaun the Sheep television series (2007–2014), Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (2005) and A Matter of Loaf and Death (2008). His producer credits include Early Man (2018), A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon (2019, co-producer), Shaun the Sheep: The Flight Before Christmas (2021) and Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl (2024). He is producer on the forthcoming Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom (2026).
For Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl, Beek shared BAFTA wins for Best Animated Feature Film and Best Children's & Family Film in 2025, and received an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Feature Film.
