Biography
Richard C. Meyer (5 April 1920 – 19 July 1985) was a German-American film and television editor, occasional writer and producer. Born in Frankfurt, he worked extensively in Hollywood from the 1950s onwards.
Meyer edited numerous feature films, including Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969), for which he shared the BAFTA Award for Best Editing with John C. Howard. Other credits include Men in War (1957), Winning (1969), Waterloo (1970), Capone (1975) and Silent Rage (1982). He received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Film Editing for the miniseries King (1978).
