Biography
Richard Cahoon was an American film and television editor. Born in New Jersey on 1 October 1905, he began his career in the late 1920s and worked on more than 40 feature films over five decades.
His early credits include The Black Room (1935), Crime and Punishment (1935) and The Indian Fighter (1955). He later became a prolific television editor, working on series such as Perry Mason (1957–1966), for which he edited many episodes across its run, and The Fugitive (1963).
Cahoon received a Primetime Emmy nomination and two Eddie Awards from the American Cinema Editors. He died in Los Angeles on 19 September 1985.
