Biography
Richard Kramer is an American television writer, producer, playwright and novelist. Born on 21 April 1952, he began his career writing for series including Family and thirtysomething, for which he received an Emmy Award and multiple Peabody Awards.
His credits include writing for My So-Called Life (1994), Tales of the City (1993), Once and Again, Queer as Folk (2000) and Nashville (2012), as well as the feature film All I Want for Christmas (1991). He wrote the play Theater District, first staged in Chicago in 2002, which won a Joseph Jefferson Award. His debut novel, These Things Happen, was published in 2012 and was nominated for a Lambda Literary Award.
