Biography
Richard Overall is a British editor, writer, voice director and voice actor. He is best known for his work on the animated series The Amazing World of Gumball (2011–2019), where he served as picture editor on 221 episodes, wrote several episodes and songs, and directed voices.
He has edited the animated features Ethel & Ernest (2016) and Kensuke's Kingdom (2023), and worked as writer and director on The Gumball Chronicles (2020). Earlier credits include assistant editor on Corpse Bride (2005) and work on Elliott from Earth (2021). He has also edited shorts and series for Lupus Films.
Overall won a British Animation Award for Best Writing for the Gumball episode 'The Agent'.
