Biography
Richard Quine (12 November 1920 – 10 June 1989) was an American film and television director. Born in Detroit, Michigan, he began his career as a child actor in radio, vaudeville and stage productions, later appearing in films including Babes on Broadway (1941) and My Sister Eileen (1942).
Quine turned to directing in the late 1940s. His feature credits include Pushover (1954), My Sister Eileen (1955), Bell, Book and Candle (1958), Strangers When We Meet (1960), The World of Suzie Wong (1960), Paris When It Sizzles (1964), Sex and the Single Girl (1964) and How to Murder Your Wife (1965). He also directed episodes of the series Columbo in the early 1970s and his final feature, The Prisoner of Zenda (1979).
