Biography
Richard V. Heermance (also credited as Richard Heermance, Dick Heermance and Richard Haermance) was an American film and television editor and producer. Born in New York City on 21 February 1910, he worked in the industry from the mid-1940s until his death in Los Angeles on 10 January 1971.
Heermance edited numerous feature films, including It Happened on Fifth Avenue (1947) and Man of the West (1958), on which he served as supervising editor. He later worked in television, editing episodes of series such as The Twilight Zone (1959), Burke's Law, The Rogues and Maya. He also produced several films in the early 1950s, among them Flight to Mars (1951) and The Maze (1953).
