Biography
Rick F. Gunter (1951–2016) was an American cinematographer. Born in Los Angeles, California, he began in the camera department and became a director of photography in 1987. He was a member of the American Society of Cinematographers.
Gunter’s television credits include work on St. Elsewhere (as camera operator and cinematographer), Dallas (1988–1991), Beverly Hills, 90210 (1992–1998), Charmed, Jessie and Lab Rats. He served as director of photography on the Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place (2007–2012) and received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Cinematography for a Multi-Camera Series in 2011.
His father, Marvin L. Gunter, was also a cameraman.
