Biography
Rick Stanton is a British cave diver and former firefighter. He appears as himself in the 2021 documentary The Rescue, which recounts the 2018 operation to rescue twelve boys and their coach from a flooded cave in northern Thailand.
Stanton, along with fellow diver John Volanthen, was among the first to reach the group. He has contributed to other projects on the rescue, including serving as an on-set technical advisor for the 2022 feature film Thirteen Lives.
