Biography
Rina Morelli, born Elvira Morelli, was an Italian stage and film actress. She appeared in 34 films between 1939 and 1976, often in supporting roles.
She was born in Naples on 6 December 1908 and died in Rome on 17 July 1976. Morelli had a long association with director Luchino Visconti, appearing in his films Senso (1954) as Laura, la governante, The Leopard (1963) as Princess Maria Stella Corbera of Salina, and The Innocent (1976) as Tullio's mother. Other notable screen roles include Rosaria Magnano in Il bell'Antonio (1960) and Teresa D'Amore in Toto, Fabrizi and the Young People Today (1960).
She also worked extensively in theatre and as a voice actress, dubbing international stars. Her husband was the actor Paolo Stoppa.
