Biography
Rita Blanco is a Portuguese actress. Born on 11 January 1963 in Oeiras, she trained at the Conservatório Nacional and made her professional stage debut in 1983 in Mariana Espera Casamento at the Teatro da Cornucópia.
She has worked extensively in film and television since the mid-1980s. Her credits include the role of the Concierge in Michael Haneke’s Amour (2012) and Celeste Cruz in the series Destino Maior (2026). She is also known for performances in The Gilded Cage (2013), Blood of My Blood (2011) and Amelia’s Children (2024). Blanco has received several Portuguese Golden Globe awards for Best Actress.
